    Trailers with just one axle are referred to as pig trailers. The axle is found in or near the middle of the trailer, and it holds the weight of the load with two wheels. Pig trailers have a drawbar connecting the axle to the towing vehicle. Many caravans, boat trailers and box trailers are classified as pig trailers.
